Believe it or not, we all have a chapter that is never read out loud! Sometimes in life it feels like you may have it worst than everyone else. Maybe the car keeps breaking down, you experienced a death in your family, you were laid off, or you are on the verge of a second divorce, etc.
It has been said before that the only constant in life is change. Just as the earth experiences spring, then summer, then fall, and finally winter, your own life cycle has its chapters. Nobody likes to go through a bad chapter in their life. It is painful and sometimes humiliating too. Don’t let a bad chapter in your life define who you are, but learn from every chapter. No matter what season you are in, no season lasts forever. Prepare for the next chapter because that doesn’t mean that the book is finished!
The sun shines on everyone, so does the rain as it falls. Let’s be honest, no one likes to let the whole world know when they are going through bad or difficult seasons. I like to be honest and transparent as possible through my writing. One of my hardest chapter’s was raising my daughter through her teenage years. I wouldn’t wish what I went through on my worst enemy. Looking back, I can clearly remember being on the verge of a literal nervous break down from accumulated stress.
It’s good to know that even though winters are tough, spring is always coming. Ask yourself, “Which season am I in?” Whatever season you find yourself in, embrace it and appreciate the unique gifts it has to offer. So my advice is, “Don’t close the book after a bad chapter, simply TURN THE PAGE!”
“In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.” Matthew 5:45
