This post can go both ways, for men and women (yes, I’m an equal opportunity employer, lol).
If the outward doesn’t match the inward that’s a no go for me. I’ve dated men who were considered by society standards to be very handsome, all the way down to below average. When I choose to date someone, I do not solely based my decision on their looks alone. Let’s not be naive either, you have to be attracted to the person that you are dating, no question about it. However, I believe that no beauty shines brighter than that of a good heart. Physical beauty is impermanent. What is lasting is the goodness in us.
I would rather spend the rest of my life with an average looking guy who treats me remarkable and respects me, than with someone who is a head turner and treats me like an option. The bottom line is, it doesn’t matter how attractive you think you are, if you have an ugly heart, you’re ugly. For me beauty is not only seen by my eyes, it is also felt by my heart.
LOOKS catches MY attention, but character catches MY heart.
