Someone said something to me today that not only hurt my feelings but also caused a major distraction in my mind. I was literally rewinding in my head what was said to me. Which prompted me to stop and think that I am wasting precious time in my life to think about something that has already happened that I had absolutely no control over. I knew that the enemy was using what was said not only bring me down, but also to have me waste my time rewinding it over and over in my head.
So I decided to renew my mind with God’s Word and I stumbled upon a powerful message from Bishop T.D. Jakes entitled, “Don’t Waste Time!” Here are some takeaways I received from Bishop Jakes.
What are you going to do with the time you have left?
Whether we like to acknowledge it or not, we are all running out of time! It’s time to re-position yourself so you don’t miss the best time in your life in this season of life. Re-position the way you think and function and feel. Limited thinking can hold you back. Stand up and declare, “Let there be Light!”
New levels bring new devils. There is creativity on the inside of each of us. The time is right and the stage is set. Everyday you wake up, its a sign that the best is yet to come. The mind is our battle ground. Get ready for the next level. Again I ask, “What are you going to do with the time you have left?”
Life has some very harsh realities and has ways of muting your mouth. Life can be very overwhelming. We all have strength inside of us that we are under utilizing and sometime we allow weak things to beat us up. If you know who you are, then you know who you are not! Life doesn’t always come at us in courses, sometimes you find yourself dealing with multiple issues at the same time. But deep down inside you have what it takes to overcome.
If you haven’t’ already notice, life isn’t fair and often times not what we expected. Sometimes you have great visions and goals for yourself but you are surrounded by mediocrity. Storm after storm and attack after attack, life can knock you down. You don’t know what you have on the inside of you, until all hell starts to break through. Often times you don’t know what you can take until enormous amounts of pressure is applied to your life.
You may be going through a divorce, mourning the loss of a loved one, facing unemployment, having family issues, feeling depressed or disappointed, dealing with a rebellious child or having financial difficulties. It’s through these tests and trials that you are able to see what you are made off and how strong you are on the inside because experience kills off the weaknesses. So don’t quit, you have what it takes!
Again I ask, what are you going to do with the time you have left???
