“Don’t mix your words with your mood, you can change your mood but you can’t take back your words.”
Words have the power to hurt and to intimidate, but they also have the power to encourage and to heal. The universe was created with words. The tongue is such a powerful force-for good or evil. If you don’t have something nice to say don’t say it at all. We should use our words to instill belief and hope within ourselves.
I’m guilty of mixing my words with my mood. When I’m feeling upset or frustrated I tend to speak my my mood through words. Of course I would go on later to regret this tremendously, because my words don’t match my heart but my mood. However, words are like bullets, once fired off they can’t return void.
One kind word can change someone’s entire day. Listen to your words. Pay close attention to the words you speak to yourself. Keep them soft, keep them kind, and forever keep them positive. This does not mean that you will never think another negative thought about yourself or someone else. But it does mean that you will never give those thoughts words. If you mess up, don’t keep yourself in condemnation but use it as a stepping stone.
